Wondering what curly hair products to buy during Sephora’s Spring Sale? I got you! These are my top recommendations for curly hair from Sephora.
Cleansing and Conditioning Recommendations for Curly Hair from the Sephora Sale
Just like all the Olaplex products, this clarifying shampoo has bonding technology. It is a reparative and nourishing shampoo. The shampoo aids in the restoration of damaged hair, making it suitable for those who have chemically treated or damaged hair. Additionally, a clarifying shampoo is essential for keeping your curls healthy, bouncy, and defined. It removes product build-up, excess oils, and other impurities. Essentially, it provides a clean slate for your styling products to work their magic. It also helps promote a healthy scalp. Use a clarifying shampoo like this one once or twice month to keep your hair clean and healthy!
superzero stands out if you’re passionate about eco-friendly hair care. As someone with curly hair, I was thrilled to discover that superzero is dedicated to sustainability and reducing environmental impact while also making products targeted at curly hair. It is a win-win for me and for the planet! I like the superzero Fine and Thin Hair Conditioner Bar for Lift & Shine because, even though this bar isn’t made for curly hair, it doubles as a leave-in without being too heavy. I love volume and I don’t want my conditioner weighing me down! And this bar is perfect to not weigh down my voluminous curly hair or my luggage when I am traveling! Not to mention that they also has bond-building technology to strengthen hair from the inside and reducing breakage. It’s an enthusiastic YES from me!
Ceremonia is the first Latina-owned hair care brand sold at Sephora. Love that for us! And, hopefully the first of many Latinx haircare brands there. So, you know it has to be on this list! Ceremonia Mascarilla de Babassu Hydrating Hair Mask is such a rich and satisfying deep conditioner. It’s name sake ingredient, babassu oil promotes hair health and repair with high vitamin E and other antioxidants. It also has a unique, sticky consistency making for a fun application on wash day. Overall, I am purchasing this again! And I hope you give it a try, too.
Dry Shampoo (-ish?)
This product is for you if you feel like you should wash your hair more than once a week but cannot find the time, or for the gym girlies. Now, I am a firm believer that washing your scalp and hair is one of the most important steps in anyone’s hair routine. However, I am also practical and I understand that sometimes we don’t have enough time to wash our hair more than once a week. This is when I would recommend this product. It is similar to a dry shampoo, but it actually cleanses your hair due to the mincellar rise with apple cider vinegar. And you don’t have to wash it out! So if you find yourself mid-week with a dirty scalp, but no time, reach for this product.
Curly Hair Styling Product Recommendations from the Sephora Spring Sale
Right now I feel like this K18 Leave-In is having it’s time in the sun in the curly hair community and for good reason! It uses a peptide technology to repair the bonds in your hair. The advantage of this product over other bond treatments is the ease of use. You can get results with just this one bonding product. It needs just 4 minutes to do it’s thing and you don’t have to wash it out! And it layers well underneath my other styling products. It is a little pricey (very pricey, actually), but that’s why I try to buy it on sale. Making the Sephora sale the perfect time to try this on your curly hair if you haven’t already.
Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil is a powerful multi-tasker in your curly hair routine. It is lightweight and non-greasy oil. It that adds shine, provides heat protection up to 450°F/ 230°C. Also, it protects your hair from UV damage. This oil does all this with it’s signature bond repair technology! Olaplex’s unique ingredient, Bis-aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, works by repairing disulfide bonds in your hair that are broken through bleaching, heat styling, and other kinds of hair damage. Basically it makes your hair stronger and helps prevent more split ends! Girl, this hair oil does it all! (Almost!) I highly recommend it for those looking for a multi-use hair oil and to protect their hair from further damage.
When comparing Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil to K-18 K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Molecular Repair Hair Oil, I’ve found that both products have been beneficial for my curly hair. While Olaplex No. 7 focuses on bonding technology to reduce breakage and protect against damage, K-18 uses bioactive peptides to repair and strengthen the hair shaft. I’ve noticed that Olaplex No. 7 provides a lightweight, non-greasy feel, while K-18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil has a slightly thicker consistency. Both oils have improved the health and appearance of my curls. K-18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil is also a heat protectant. Both oils are great! But with Olaplex No. 7 lower price point, I tend to lean that way.
Hair Tools & Other Tips for Your Curly Hair during the Sephora Sale
As someone with curly hair, the Shark Flex Style has been is a fantastic addition to my hair tools. It is a 2-for-1 because it has a diffuser and straightens my hair. This versatile styling tool features multiple attachments, including a diffuser and a brush. The diffuser is perfect for drying my curls. While the brush attachment can straighten my hair with minimal heat damage, which is important for the long-run health of our hair. And scratch that ‘straight hair’ itch we get sometimes! Not to mention it’s a great dupe for the Dyson Airwrap for about half the price! And with Sephora’s sale, even more of a bang for your buck! Need I say more??
I’m always looking for hair tools that are both functional and stylish, and the PATTERN Hair Pick hits the markt! The design is not only beautiful but also practical. It’s molded to fit right in your hand. It’s large size can effortlessly pick up all my curls in one fabulous stroke. The wide teeth of the pick easily glide through my curls, adding volume without causing breakage. Plus, it’s a statement piece that adds a touch of flair to my hair care routine! All of this and it is a Black-owned brand owned by the phenomenal Tracey Ellis Ross. I would definitely buy this again!
If you’re looking to boost the density of your curls, The Ordinary Serum for Hair Density is an affordable option to add to your nightly routine. So, with its potent blend of caffeine, zinc, and peptides, this lightweight serum stimulates hair follicles, which aids in hair growth. Apply a few drops to your scalp every night as part of your hair care routine to enjoy fuller and denser curls.
The KEY to using this or any other hair growth products is CONSISTENCY! Seeing results takes months of patience and daily consistency using this product. But it’s not passive either, you should massage your scalp after applying a few drops of the serum to your scalp. But once you commit, it will hopefully pay off in INCHES! Add it to your nighttime routine for a relaxing self-care routine. Run, don’t walk to buy this at the Sephora Spring Sale for your curly hair.
